As the predecessor “Light up OSAKA”

    Incorporation

    Established as a general incorporated association by three founders: Takuji Iseki・Keijiro Yoda・Shinji Kano.

  • 2015

    Guinness World Records® attempt; fireworks return to the riverbank after 12 years

    On October 18, attempted a Guinness World Records title at the Hirakata riverbank. Although not achieved, about 75 fireworks were launched on the Yodo River riverbank for the first time in 12 years.

    SUNSUN Festival in Hirakata – A Family Playground

    On August 28, held at the Hirakata riverbank with a petting zoo, inflatable attractions, and food trucks. The finale featured 250 fireworks, welcoming about 4,000 visitors.

  • 2017

    Light-up Festival: Hirakata Terrace

    On September 3, held “Light-up Festival: Hirakata Terrace.” Added music stage and flea market alongside the petting zoo, inflatables, and food trucks. The finale featured about 1,000 fireworks and drew around 15,000 visitors.

    Light-up Festival: Connecting Hirakata

    On September 2, held “Light-up Festival: Connecting Hirakata.” Added regional PR booths and a kids’ fair along with existing attractions. The finale featured about 1,200 fireworks and welcomed approximately 40,000 visitors.

    Light-up Festival: Expansion

    Held “Light-up Festival: Expansion” at the Hirakata riverbank with programming similar to 2018. The finale featured about 1,200 fireworks and drew around 55,000 visitors.

  • 2021

    Corporate name changed

    On October 11, changed the corporate name to “General Incorporated Association Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival.”
    The 1st Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival was confirmed.

  • 2022

    1st Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival held

    First traffic-controlled fireworks event across two venues: Takatsuki and Hirakata.
