About Suito Kurawanka Fireworks

What Is the Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival?

The Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival is a fireworks event held mainly in Hirakata, Takatsuki, and Katano in Osaka Prefecture.
It is one of the rare festivals in Japan where the number of fireworks launched reflects the number of children born in the previous year in the municipalities around the host area.

Guided by the vision of making the Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival a traditional event that continues for one hundred years, we hope to pass on to the children of the future the scenery that so many people have cherished through their memories.

The Launch Count Reflects Births in Hirakata, Takatsuki, and Katano, Along with a Memorial Tribute

At the Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival, in addition to reflecting the number of children born in the previous year in the local cities of Hirakata, Takatsuki, and Katano, memorial fireworks are also launched in remembrance of those who have passed away.

Continuing to hold the festival also contributes to the development of the city while nurturing a spirit of remembrance.
We will keep launching fireworks together with the local community, guided by our philosophy of creating a “fireworks festival that lasts for one hundred years.”
